Writing Club for Seniors

I ran a Writing Club in high school. Every week, some of us would write something about ourselves - either fun, reflective, or educational - and we'd get together once a week and share about what we wrote. It was one of the most fulfilling things I've organized.

I want to do something similar for adults and seniors in the Boston and Cambridge area. I personally care about this because many adults have a harder time finding genuine connection and empathy in their working and family lives, and I want to give them a bit of hope.

Concretely, this means that we will find a place every week to host a group of no more than a dozen adults. We will ask them to each write a short piece weekly or biweekly, and we can provide a prompt if they need help. Members can attend without having written something. Then, we will set aside an hour and a half each meeting (weekly or biweekly), where we all discuss what we've written.

If you'd like to get involved, we can either chat about logistics - planning out the event, outreach, etc. - or I'd love to have you attend any number of the meetings as well.
